Adam Kobetich has been a working artist and musician for over 20 years, starting out in Dallas Texas then moving to Austin in 2007
I've been drawing since the age of three and have been fascinated by sequential art, ie. comics and animation all my life. I essentially learned to draw from copying artists like John Buscema, Frank Frazetta, and Roger Dean and from watching my mother when i was a wee one. I was inspired by my parents, the Tarzan cartoon, Flash Gordon cartoon, Conan, Batman, Spiderman, the Man-Thing and Thor comics, Monster Week, my cousin Danny, snow fall, rushing water, mountains, the ocean and trees, trees, trees and the best art teacher i ever had, Cindy Burton at Weatherford High School.
I work as an illustrator, want to paint more murals, and have worked with Austin based Arts Magazine, The Cockroach Conservatory. I have been a banjo picker since 2003 and have played around the country with: The 999 EYEs Authentic Vaudevillian Freakshow, 800 Mile Monday, The Scrambled Yeggs and my band The Electric Mountain Rotten Apple Gang. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EAx1-cOHMo&t=1s
